I have had an awesome experience lately with a new blog I started at the end of July. As I’m writing this, it is about 11 days old and my posts are being indexed by Google within an hour or so. I was shocked to check my stats and find searches on the post I had just made. It shows the power of blogging, especially when using it for your business.

Blogging is a great way to get the word out about your business or products. Some people use only a blog for their business and bring in an extra or full time income without the expensive cost of a professionally made website. You also have the option of making more than one blog. If you have products in different niches you can make separate blogs for them, therefore, keeping the keywords specific to that product.

Blogging is so versatile and it can even be fun. You can add pictures or videos to make it even more interesting. There is a place to tell your readers more about yourself and post a picture so they can put a face to the name. You can list some favourite link to sites that you think may be useful to your readers.

You can also place Adsense on your site to earn a little more money. These are Google ads that can be customized to fit your site so they blend in. If someone clicks on the ad you earn some money. There are so many things you can do to monetize a blog.

Submit your blog to blog directories for more exposure. When posting do not forget to ping each time so the social sites will know you made a new post and the search engines will pick it up also. Add useful, keyword rich articles to get good ranking. The search engines like fresh, unique content, so keep that in mind when making a blog post.

The most important thing to remember is to have fun. If you enjoy posting to your blog your readers will see that and keep coming back for more. Make it more personal so that readers will get a true sense of who you are.
